Facebook, raising the stalkers of tomorrow.

Now I’m not saying that every one on facebook is a stalker… In fact, no, every one on facebook is at least 1% part stalker! You can’t deny the fact that part of the appeal of facebook is it’s voyeurism as a colleague so rightly puts it. I can’t count the amount of times people have asked me “are you alright” after I unwittingly change my facebook status to something stupid and random like, “Gavin is.. about to go for a piss” or “Gavin is.. just about to shit him self”, at first it seems normal that some one close to you could care as much to ask you how you feel after reading something that worries them on facebook… but what slightly freaks me out is the fact that EVERY one else can see this stuff, not just my friends and not just my family, but people at work, people who have randomly added me etc. which begs the question… could you be stalked on facebook… and could some ones virtual obsession with you leak into the physical and tangible world… A better question would be, do YOU find your self checking other people’s walls, looking at their conversations with other people, looking into their groups to see what they’re saying? If you do… maybe you’re that 1% stalker I’m talking about!
